2020 Nissan Patrol facelift unveiled in the Middle East

The iconic Nissan Patrol is all set to hit the market with the arrival of the biggest facelift since the model first came in 2013. The 2020 Nissan Patrol has been revealed in the Middle East which is considered as its biggest market. For the US market, the model is named as Nissan Armada.

The 2020 Nissan Patrol engine offers two choices- a 4.0-litre V6 producing 275 PS of power and 394 Nm of torque, and a 5.6-litre V8 delivering 400 PS of power and 560 Nm of torque, with drive sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The updated exterior designing of 2020 Nissan Patrol features:

  • Brand’s V-motion grille
  • LED headlights with boomerang-shaped DRLs 
  • New bumper in front
  • New tail lamps at the rear with the equivalent boomerang shape pairing with the front
  • Sporty sequential turn signals

Nissan Patrol cabin

Inside the cabin, the 2020 Nissan Patrol specifications include:

  • A new centre console design with dual displays for infotainment and HVAC functions with iOS and Android mobile devices connectivity.
  • Diamond-stitch quilted leather seats with added padding and hand-crafted steering wheel leather trim added to the upholstery revisions.
  • Climate control and powered lumbar support.

Nissan Patrol safety features comprise of:

  • Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection 
  • Intelligent Forward Collision Warning
  • ABS with EBD
  • Stability control
  • Hydraulic Body Motion Control for improved suspension and less vibration added in V8-powered variant

Nissan stated that some updates are also included in regards to the vehicle’s noise and vibrations and also the air-conditioning system is improved for better suitability in hot climates of the Middle East.

The Nissan Patrol price in the US market for the pre-facelifted version is announced by the automaker. It is powered by VK56VD 5.6 litre V8 direct-injection petrol and available in 4WD and 2WD drive layouts. Prices start from US$47,100 for the SV 4X2, and up to US$68,030) for the Platinum Reserve 4X4.
