Nissan Pathfinder Midnight Edition to go on sale in July 2018
ABU DHABI: Extending the Pathfinder lineup in the Middle East, the automaker has taken the wraps off the new Midnight Edition that’ll go on sale this July onwards. The Pathfinder is touted as the go-to family SUV that is ideal for urban commutes as well as for the adventure trips.
With almost every detail finished in black, the Pathfinder gets a visual boost with a more attractive and a sporty avatar. The components of the SUV painted in black include the front and rear mudguard, 20-inch aluminium alloys, outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), roof rail, rear spoiler, and the signature radiator grille.
The Pathfinder Midnight Edition clearly looks dominating than the standard model. Up front, it boasts elements like V-Motion grille, sharp and bold headlamps flanked by daytime running lights with LEDs. It also gets a panoramic sunroof. The interior LED lighting setup makes it up for a relaxed ambience.
From the inside, the SUV is similar to the standard version. However, it now has the EZ Flex seating system that makes reaching third-row seats hassle-free especially when the second-row has a child safety seat fitted on it. Besides this, it comes with the Tri-Zone automatic climate control, iPod integration support, and hands-free phone system powered by Bluetooth. It also gets Tri-Zone entertainment system with DVD displays mounted on the front seat headrests. At the rear, the display screen size is 8 inches which offer support for USB and HDMI inputs.
The Pathfinder Midnight Edition gets safety upgrade with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Notable features from the pack include the Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent 4X4, and the Rear Cross-traffic Alert. Other safety bits include Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control, and the Nissan Advanced Airbag System.
At heart, the Pathfinder Midnight Edition gets the same but the bolstered 3.5-litre V6 engine mated to the third-gen Xtronic transmission. It generates more power and torque than the standard Pathfinder. As said, Nissan has integrated more than 50 per cent new engine components on the 2019 Midnight Edition.
If you are on the lookout for a family SUV then the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Midnight Edition is the one you should be putting your money on. The SUV is slated to go on sale in the Middle East in July 2018. The price which you need to spare for the Midnight Edition is AED 161,906 ($44,080).
