The 2025 Nissan X-Trail is a stylish, bold and sporty 7-seater SUV, which is now equipped with Nissan's ProPilot 2.1 system. It enhances the X-Trail’s driver-assist technology. The cabin is spacious and gets faux-leather upholstery for the higher models.

The Nisan X-Trail price starts from AED 101,900 with the 2.5L S 2WD trim and goes up to AED 153,000 with the 2.5L SL 4WD trim.

Engine and Transmission

The 2025 Nissan X-Trail's entry-level version is equipped with a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 2.5-litre petrol engine that produces 181PS/245Nm. The engine is mated to a Nissan XTronic CVT. 

Features

The 2025 Nissan X-Trail features a confident V-motion grille, all-around LED lighting, and classy headlights with DRLs. Its boxy proportions and 17-inch alloy wheels give it a planted stance, avoiding trendy sloping rooflines for a more practical design. The rear is minimalistic, with a bulbous tailgate and a no-nonsense appeal.

Inside, the X-Trail balances simplicity with subtle premium touches. The chrome-effect detailing, piano black trims, and optional tan leather add sophistication, while a full-length sunroof enhances the airy feel. Lower trims get black or grey interiors, and while scratchy plastics are present, overall quality remains solid.

Top models feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 10-speaker Bose sound system, along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. While graphics could be sharper, the system is responsive and easy to read. Dual-zone climate control with physical buttons improves usability, making the X-Trail a well-rounded SUV.

Space

With 4,680mm length, 1,725 mm width, 1,705 mm height, the 2024 Nissan X-Trail is a fairly spacious SUV. The two front seats get the maximum space. However, the electric adjustment is limited only to high-end trims. 

The second row has enough space to carry three adults. The middle part folds down to form an armrest with two cupholders. The bench-type row is reclinable to get more comfort.

The rear-seat is also bench-type but feels crammed for two adults. There's not much legroom. The seat also lacks proper under-thigh support. Access to the rear seat is easy because of the flip-down middle row. Also, the door opens almost 90 degrees to allow easy entry and exit.

The 2025 Nissan X-Trail gets 585 litres of boot space with the last row up.

Safety

The 2025 Nissan X-Trail is a well-equipped car in terms of safety. It comes with a Advanced Driver Assistance System (Emergency braking, lane keep assist, driver attention warning, rear collision warning and much more), front and rear parking camera, speed-sensing door locks, anti-theft alarm, antilock braking, cruise control and traction control.

Should you buy the Nissan X-Trail?

The 2025 Nissan X-Trail strikes a sturdily built SUV that offers a nice balance between practicality and comfortable travel. It's spacious and airy, though the third row in the seven-seater version is more of a cosmetic addition, meant only for small children. Overall, it's a family car that can go on occasional weekend trips.      

Alternatives

The 202t Nissan X-Trail faces competition from Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Outlander, MG PX9 and Jetour X90 Plus. It also has the Nissan X-Terra as its in-house rival.
