Nissan N7 Overview

How much is the Nissan N7’s price?

The Nissan N7, an all-electric sedan, is set to launch in the first half of 2025. Although the exact price for the UAE market hasn’t been disclosed yet, it's expected to compete in the mid-size EV sedan segment.

How many variants are there in the Nissan N7?

The Nissan N7 is likely to be available in two variants: the E2 and E3. These options cater to different user preferences, with the E2 serving as the standard offering and the E3 bringing more premium features.

Which is the most value-for-money variant?

The E3 variant is expected to offer the best value for money. With features like the advanced “Navigate on Autopilot” driver-assist system, a high-powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor for infotainment, and likely premium interior materials, it elevates the driving experience.

While it will be priced higher than the E2, the added benefits, including advanced safety and luxury features, make it worth considering for those looking for a complete EV package.

What features does the Nissan N7 get?

The Nissan N7 is packed with modern features aimed at enhancing comfort, safety, and connectivity. The sedan boasts an infotainment system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor, providing seamless connectivity and high performance.

Its advanced “Navigate on Autopilot” system, developed in partnership with Momenta, offers autonomous driving features like lane guidance and adaptive cruise control.

Additionally, the V-Motion design ensures a sleek exterior, while the spacious cabin includes premium materials and advanced tech like a digital dashboard and high-quality sound system.

How spacious is it?

With a wheelbase of 2,915 mm and overall dimensions of 4,930 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,487 mm in height, the Nissan N7 offers an exceptionally spacious cabin. Designed as a medium-large sedan, it provides ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers.

What engine and transmission options are available?

The Nissan N7 is a fully electric vehicle, which means it doesn’t rely on traditional internal combustion engines or transmissions. Instead, it features a high-capacity battery paired with an electric motor, delivering a smooth and quiet driving experience. Nissan hasn’t released specific powertrain details yet.

What’s the mileage of the Nissan N7?

Exact range details for the Nissan N7 are not yet available. However, considering Nissan’s expertise in EV technology, it’s safe to assume the N7 will offer a competitive range. Models like the Nissan Leaf and Ariya provide ranges of 300-400 km per charge, so the N7 is likely to offer something similar or even better, especially with advancements in battery technology.

How safe is the Nissan N7?

Safety is a major highlight of the Nissan N7. Equipped with the “Navigate on Autopilot” system developed in collaboration with Momenta, the sedan includes features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.

The sedan also comes with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), ensuring a safer driving experience in urban and highway conditions. Nissan has always prioritized safety, and the N7 will continue this tradition with top technology and robust build quality.

How many color options are there?

While Nissan has yet to reveal the full color palette for the N7, two options—green and white—are confirmed. These shades complement the sleek, modern design of the vehicle. Additional colors may be introduced closer to the launch, offering buyers more customization choices to suit their style preferences.

Should you buy the Nissan N7?

If you’re in the market for a stylish, advanced, and eco-friendly sedan, the Nissan N7 is worth considering. Its combination of modern design, cutting-edge technology, and spacious interior makes it a strong contender in the EV market. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast, an eco-conscious driver, or someone looking for a premium yet practical car, the N7 is poised to deliver on all fronts.

What are my alternatives?

In the UAE, alternatives to the Nissan N7 include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Tesla Model 3, and Kia EV6. Each of these models offers its own set of features and capabilities, such as longer ranges, advanced autopilot systems, or unique designs. If you’re considering a Nissan, the Ariya is another excellent option, offering all-wheel drive and a versatile SUV body style.

Other things to consider:

As an all-new model built on Nissan’s modular architecture, the N7 represents the brand’s latest innovations. For UAE buyers, factors like charging infrastructure and maintenance costs should also be considered. With Nissan’s established presence in the region, service support and availability of charging stations are likely to be robust, making the N7 a convenient and forward-thinking choice for modern drivers.

Nissan N7 Expert Review

After a successful stint with one of the first all-electric mass-market cars globally, the Leaf, Nissan is entering a new chapter of electric mobility with the N7, a born-electric sedan. Developed in collaboration with the Chinese automaker Dongfeng, the Nissan N7 was conceptualized in China and will first go on sale there sometime in the first half of 2025. The UAE car market is expected to get the Nissan N7 as its new flagship electric vehicle sometime towards the end of 2025.

First previewed in March 2024 as an ‘Epoch concept’, the new Nissan N7 is a production-spec version of the former, and Nissan’s first-ever take on the born electric sedan category. Nissan has already started expanding its global EV plans with its “The Arc” plan, under which the N7 is the first all-electric vehicle that will be on sale in the Asian car markets, including the UAE.

Contrary to the current and previous-generation vehicles from Nissan, the N7 has an entirely different language, making it look totally different from the other current sedans from Nissan, the Sunny, and Altima. Developed with Dongfeng under a 50:50 joint venture, the Nissan N7 has angular ‘7-shaped’ all-LED headlamps, accompanied by split LED DRLs and a connected LED light bar joining these DRLs across the front fascia’s width.

The side profile of the Nissan N7 has a coupe-like silhouette with a rounded roofline, with the electric sedan having a modern appeal with its machined alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, and door-mounted rearview mirrors. The rear profile of the Nissan N7 looks reminiscent of several Chinese electric sedans, with it having slim LED combination tail lamps and a thick connected LED light bar joining these tail lamps with Nissan lettering in the middle.

Measuring 4,930 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,487 mm long, the N7 will be Nissan’s largest electric car ever and is even bigger than the Japanese brand’s current flagship sedan in the UAE, the Altima. Nissan hasn’t previewed the cabin layout of the N7 yet, but the electric sedan is expected to get an entirely new-generation layout that will feature a different design language than the current Nissan offerings. Expect the Nissan N7 to have modern full-TFT screens for the instrument console and infotainment system, along with several modern-era features like powered and climate-controlled seats, wireless charger, and in-car connectivity features.

Nissan has also not revealed the technical specifications of the N7, including the power and torque outputs of the motor setup and the battery configurations. However, in all likelihood, the Nissan N7 will have a lithium-ion battery with a flat floor setup for the rear seat occupants. It is said that the N7 will be available with both rear-wheel drive setup with a single motor and all-wheel drive setup with dual motors for both Chinese and other Asian markets.

Nissan hasn’t confirmed the availability of the N7 in the UAE, for this electric sedan will first go on sale only in China. However, once it goes on sale, the Nissan N7 will go against the likes of other born-electric sedans like the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal.
