Nissan introduces the track-focused 2024 Z Nismo sports car

ABU DHABI: Nissan has unveiled the track-focused NISMO edition of the Nissan Z, positioned above the Z Performance in the company's sports car lineup. Compared to the standard model, the latest Nismo Z is more stiff, powerful and prepared for serious track time.

Under the hood, the all-new sports car boasts an upgraded version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6 engine that delivers an outstanding 420 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 521 Nm.

The Z NISMO is outfitted with a 9-speed automatic transmission for more dynamic and faster-shifting performance. The downshift time has been reduced to half compared to the Z Performance trim. The 2024 Nissan Z Nismo comes with launch control, ensuring standing-start acceleration for an exhilarating driving experience. In addition to the Sport and Normal drive modes, the Nismo trim also comes with a new Sport+ mode.

The "Grand Nose" on the front is a striking design element that pays homage to the heritage Nissan Fairlady 240ZG.

Taking the performance to new heights, The 2024 Nissan Z Nismo comes with a series of revisions, including:

• NISMO-specific, gloss black RAYS 19-inch wheels complemented by Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX GT600 tyres
• A stiffened chassis that elevates torsional rigidity by 2.5% in comparison to the standard grades
• Track-enhanced brake system and more performance-oriented brake pad compound
• Enhanced suspension with bigger and re-tuned dampers, stiffer springs, and new anti-roll bars
