Nissan reveals N7: A new electric luxury sedan for China

ABU DHABI: At the Guangzhou Auto Show, Nissan unveiled the N7, its new all-electric sedan designed to rejuvenate the brand in China. Built on Dongfeng Nissan's new dedicated EV platform, the N7 promises intelligent technology, stress-free driving, and superior comfort.

The proportions of the new Nissan EV are the same as those of the Audi A6 e-tron, and it will be available with advanced driver-assist technology, such as 'Navigate on Autopilot,' which has been developed in collaboration with Momenta. Details on range, battery size, and motor power are yet to be revealed.

The N7’s external styling has been described as “fluid and futuristic,” and it is inspired by the Epoch Concept that was showcased for the first time in April at the Beijing Motor Show. 

The design boasts flowing, sleek lines that emphasize its cutting-edge, modern look. Design-wise, the N7 looks similar to the Xpeng P7, with similar design elements and profile. The car's sophisticated front fascia and streamlined silhouette reflect the bold vision of Nissan for the electric sedan’s future. This new model represents a huge leap forward in technology and aesthetics for the electric lineup of Nissan.

The Nissan N7 is anticipated to go on sale in the first half of 2025 in China, marking a milestone in the midterm strategy of Nissan, known as "The Arc." This plan aims to accelerate the export and development of new energy vehicles to global markets from China. 

While the N7 will be launched initially in China, there are chances for it to reach European shores in the future, expanding Nissan's electric vehicle presence globally. The N7 could also be launched in the UAE market as the demand for EVs is growing rapidly in the region.
