Nissan Hyper Urban concept revealed with futuristic design and V2G tech

ABU DHABI: Nissan has previewed the Hyper Urban Concept that will debut at the forthcoming Japan Mobility Show, which is scheduled to happen by the end of October 2023. This all-electric concept vehicle is quite unique and distinct from the brand's motorsport-focused Concept 20-23. 

The Hyper Urban Concept showcases the company's future technological prowess and design language. This concept steals attention with its lime yellow exterior, which undergoes stunning color variations with changing light angles. The rear and front scissor doors further elevate the sense of accessibility and space. The doors open skyward to reveal an angular cabin with triangular shapes that seem to be inspired by kaleidoscopes.

The Hyper Urban Concept is aimed at "urban and suburban-based professionals who prioritise environmental sustainability," says Nissan, and it offers a glimpse at a vehicle that is integrated into the electric vehicle ecosystem through its vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capability.

Nissan has not disclosed the Hyper Urban Concept's powertrain details, but it is estimated to be an EV. Nissan is seeing this innovative concept as a potential home power source, saving owners money and putting less strain on the grid. For the crossover, Nissan has hinted at an artificial intelligence-driven autonomous charging system, but the exact details are still under wraps.
