NIO EL8 electric SUV launched in the UAE at AED 359,900

ABU DHABI: NIO, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has debuted in the Middle East with the arrival of the EL8, its flagship SUV in the UAE, signifying the first foray of the company into the region.

The NIO EL8 has debuted as the brand's flagship six-seat luxury SUV in the UAE, combining sustainable design with intelligent technology. 

The all-wheel-drive system delivers a 0-100 kmph time of 4.1 seconds and 850 Nm of torque. The EL8 is equipped with a 100 kWh swappable battery that provides up to 510 km of WLTP range, all wrapped in a sleek exterior design.

The interior features eco-friendly materials, including plant-based and rattan suede. Key highlights include - a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch infotainment display, a 16.3-inch Head-up Display, ambient lighting, an in-car fragrance system, and a 23-speaker sound system. 

The NIO EL8 is offered in five colours with a starting price of AED 359,900. You can test drive the EL8 at Yas Mall and Mall of the Emirates. 

The CEO of NIO MENA, Mohammed Maktari, expressed enthusiasm for the debut of EL8 in the UAE, emphasising the commitment of the brand to sustainability and innovation. The automaker confirmed that ET5 and EC6 models will soon join the line-up.

The first NIO House will open soon in Abu Dhabi in the MENA and will serve as a hub for events, a café, and community gatherings.

A brief overview of NIO brand

Aquila Super Sensing utilises 33 sensors and cameras, including industry-leading LiDAR for environmental awareness. Range anxiety is addressed by NIO Power with battery swaps in three minutes.
