Bentley unveils limited W.O. Edition Mulsanne

ABU DHABI: Named after the founder of the company, Walter Owen Bentley, the new limited edition Mulsanne is here. Bentley has named this newly unveiled edition as the Mulsanne W.O. Edition and is based on the company’s range-topping model.

The Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition will be limited to just 100 units. However, the unique distinction is that each of the units will have a piece from the legendary 8.0-litre car that the owner used as his personal model. Also, this legendary vehicle was the last model to be designed by the founder back in 1930.

The Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition can be had in any of the of the three specs of the regular model, that is the Mulsanne, Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase and the Speed. The standard mechanism is the 6.75-litre V8 bi-turbo engine which makes 505 hp of power and 1,020 Nm of torque while in the Speed, it makes 530 hp of power and 1,100 Nm of torque. The power is sent down to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

Inside the cabin, the limited edition model would be getting the same vintage feel from the old models. The interior colour split would be trimmed in the Heritage Hide, which reflects the vintage patina. Also, the Beluga wheels, bottle cooler and the cocktail cabinet impart the retro-fashion.

On the exterior end, the Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition has diamond-type borders running on each side and is finished with the signature of the founder Walter Owen Bentley. The Onyx paintwork gives a distinctive appeal to the limited edition model over the standard.

Plus, the limited W.O. Edition can be customised in almost every aspect as the Mulliner division of the brand is handling the personalisation. It will be making it public appearance in August at the Monterey Car Week. However, the deliveries wouldn't commence before 2019.
