Nissan debuts all-new Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid with N7 sedan at Auto Shanghai 2025

Abu Dhabi : The Nissan Frontier Pro is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid pick-up while the new N7 is an all-electric sedan with a range of up to 635km.

The Japanese carmaker has debuted two new models; the Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup and the Nissan N7 at the Auto Shanghai 2025. The launch showcases its commitment to expanding its lineup with technology-packed products, part of its plan to launch 9 New Energy Vehicles in China by summer 2027.

Powertrains

These cars have been developed in collaboration with the Chinese auto manufacturer Dongfeng with a plug-in hybrid powertrain in the Frontier Pro and a dual battery option in the N7 sedan. Here’s more about the powertrains and performance:

Exterior Highlights 

• Nissan Frontier Pro - The all-new Frontier Pro features a "Rugged Tech" design with a modern exterior and refined interior. Its front mask has an illuminated logo and five LED lights, paying homage to the iconic D21 pickup. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with 265/65R18 tyres, blending style and capability.
• N7 sedan - The N7 features elegant proportions, a spacious interior, and modern design elements like frameless doors and customizable LED lighting with 710 high-power LEDs at the front and 882 OLEDs at the rear. The electric sedan is available in six body paints, and has wheels up to 19 inches, offering a comfortable and personalized driving experience.

The new design language is something never seen in Nissan cars.

Futuristic Interiors

• Nissan Frontier Pro - The all-new Nissan Frontier Pro comes with a spacious cabin with a panoramic roof, a 14.6-inch infotainment screen, a 10-inch LCD instrument panel and heated/ventilated seats. It also includes practical features like roof rails, a cargo cover, and a V2L port for charging household devices.
• Nissan N7 sedan - The N7's interiors are loaded with advanced tech, including AI-adjusted seats with massage functionality, a 15.6-inch infotainment panel, and seamless connectivity. Further, it gets premium amenities like a refrigerated compartment, 14-speaker audio, DeepSeek AI Integration, 256GB storage space, and 256-color ambient lighting.

The convenience inside the cabin creates a comfortable and homely atmosphere for families.

Presently, these models are being launched in the Chinese market. Hence, details on pricing and availability for the UAE market have not been released yet.
