Lexus has lifted the curtains on the next generation of its best-selling sedan - the ES. Revealed at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, this 8th-generation model brings futuristic design, luxury tech, and electrification to the brand’s long-running nameplate. 

Set for a global rollout starting mid-2026, the all-new ES will be among the flagship launches as Lexus reshapes its identity around electrified luxury.

Next-Level Electrification with Hybrid and Battery EV Choices

Lexus calls the new ES a “forerunner” in its electrification journey. It will come in both HEV and BEV powertrains, following a multi-pathway strategy to meet different customer demands. The platform is designed to support dynamic performance and reduce environmental impact—helping Lexus push toward carbon neutrality.

• Four variants: ES 300h, ES 350h (both HEV), ES 350e, and ES 500e (both BEV).
• System outputs range from 197 PS to 342 PS.
• BEV variants boast a 610–685 km range (CLTC) and charge up to 80% in 30 minutes.
