Land Rover introduces the all-new Defender Octa

ABU DHABI: The 2025 Land Rover Defender OCTA has been revealed as an exclusive and the most powerful model in the Defender lineup. It features extensive off-road upgrades, a new engine, and enhanced exterior and interior aesthetics. Its estimated price is around $153,475 (AED 563,780) it represents the best in luxury and performance within the Defender range.

The 2025 Land Rover Defender OCTA is equipped with a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V-8 engine that has been sourced from BMW. It delivers 626 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. It boasts a 155 mph top speed with appropriate tyres. It also comes with quad exhausts and takes 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph with its eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Defender Octa is available exclusively in the 110-body variant. Its length is around 5 meters. Significant changes include a 68 mm wider body and a 28 mm increase in height with pronounced wing flares that easily accommodate wider track widths. The front bumper is adorned by a graphite skid plate and a large central air intake. The bumper at the rear now houses the four square-shaped tailpipes with the exhaust.

The influence of the other models in the Defender can be clearly seen in Octa's interior. It also comes with shell-style seats integrated with headrests, offering both comfort and support with massage, heating, and cooling functions. Unique to this model is the steering wheel button used for accessing Octa driving mode along with illuminated red paddles that contribute to sportier driving engagement.

The setup of the Defender Octa has been revised with the new 6D Dynamics system that replaces traditional anti-roll bars. This unique setup manages body movements with the help of electronically controlled suspension improving off-road capability and on-road stability, improving exit and attack angles with a 1,000 mm fording capacity. For road performance, it comes standard with all-season tyres and 22-inch alloy wheels.
