Kia reveals EV5 in Morocco; promoting sustainable mobility

ABU DHABI: Kia Middle East and Africa has officially introduced the Kia EV5 in Rabat, Morocco. This marks a new era in the region for sustainable mobility solutions. The event was attended by over 100 fleet companies and media representatives across the region from nine different markets. The launch showcased the latest innovation of Kia in eco-friendly transportation. This debut underscores the strategic focus of Kia on leading the regional shift towards eco-friendly vehicles.

President of Kia Middle East & Africa, SooHang Chang, stated that the launch of Kia EV5 in Morocco showcases the commitment of the company to sustainable mobility. He said that this launch event marks a huge shift towards a greener future for the nine represented markets and Morocco, with the launch expected in more regions in the coming time.

The Kia EV5 comes with Advanced Driver Assistance System features like Remote Smart Parking Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. Its interior is high-tech and features a wide mood lighting and double 12.3-inch panoramic display.

The Kia EV5 boasts a boxy, robust exterior with a bold front fascia and sleek lines, contributing to a striking road presence. Senior Exterior Designer at Kia, Jae Yeoun Park, highlighted the spacious interior and unique design of EV5, emphasizing its reliability and strength in the MEA region as a standout SUV EV.

The interior of the Kia EV5 boasts relaxation seats, a versatile rear table, and a warmed and cooled trunk box. Its eco-friendly, spacious cabin comes with recycled BTX-free paint for a sustainable yet luxurious experience.

The Kia EV5 offers up to 550 km of range on a single charge and delivers 310 horsepower. It features both AWD and 2WD options with 88.1 kWh and 64.2 kWh LFP battery choices. It takes around 6.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. With ultra-fast charging the Kia EV5 takes just 27 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.

The Kia EV5 is available in a price range of USD 45,000 (AED USD 45,000) to USD 54,000 (AED 198,331.20).
