JLR to focus on plug-in hybrids due to slow global EV sales
ABU DHABI: Due to slow EV sales, Jaguar Land Rover has decided to change its electrification strategy. The automaker is now focusing on plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) along with battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Last year Jaguar Land Rover witnessed a 68 percent surge in the sales of plug-in hybrids (PHEV) in Europe, indicating the need to introduce more PHEVs amidst the slowing growth of EVs.

In line with the 60 percent EV sales goal of JLR by 2030 all current internal combustion engine models will be discontinued.
