Lexus, Toyota’s luxury division, is preparing to reveal the 2026 model of its popular ES sedan. Set for a global debut on April 23 at the Shanghai Motor Show, this will be the eighth generation of the ES line. 

The car is a major update and expected to bring advanced features, a refreshed look, and new powertrain options—possibly electric. With the UAE being a strong market for the ES, the new model is expected to arrive in the region by the end of 2025.

Sharper Design with Aerodynamic Focus

Lexus recently released a teaser image of the upcoming ES, revealing bold changes to the sedan’s front profile. The new face showcases boomerang-shaped LED headlights and a full-width lightbar, accompanied by a reworked bumper and larger air dams. 

The design on the sides includes a swooping roofline, flush door handles, and fresh alloy wheel designs, all aimed at improving visual flow and efficiency.

At the rear, the car gets sleeker LED tail lights also joined by a horizontal lightbar on the boot. These enhancements suggest a much more modern and sportier appearance, in line with global luxury sedan trends.

Interior Changes and Tech Upgrades

Inside the cabin, Lexus is expected to deliver several upgrades. A redesigned dashboard, updated centre console, and new door pads will form the base of the refreshed look. The seats are likely to offer better cushioning and contouring for added comfort.

Inspired by updates seen on the 2025 Toyota Camry, the new ES will likely feature a wide connected screen for both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Other additions may include improved ambient lighting, wireless device connectivity, and a new music system.

UAE Launch Timeline and Pricing

The UAE market is expected to receive the 2026 Lexus ES by late 2025. As one of the top-selling luxury sedans in the region, anticipation for the updated model is high. With the inclusion of more features and an EV offering, prices are expected to exceed the current AED 163,000 starting price of the existing ES.
