ABU DHABI: Mitsubishi has revealed the updated Outlander plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), showcasing significant enhancements under the hood along with subtle cosmetic changes. So far, only the 2025 Outlander PHEV variant has been unveiled, with a petrol-only version expected to debut in 2025. Production for the revamped PHEV is set to begin in late 2024.

    The global-spec Outlander PHEV features a 53-litre fuel tank and a larger 22.7-kilowatt-hour battery, offering a total range of 844 kilometres and an electric-only range of 86 kilometres. The refreshed model retains its all-wheel-drive system and the 2.4-litre engine from its predecessor, delivering a combined output of 301 horsepower.

    The crossover is available with various driving modes including Power, Tarmac, Economy, Normal, Gravel, Mud, and Snow. Additionally, you can optimize power delivery and efficiency by selecting a parallel or series hybrid mode.

    Mitsubishi has not yet revealed the 2025 Outlander PHEV’s market-specific pricing details.
