Bestune T90 Engine

Originally showcased first at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, the Bestune T90 is one of the premium mid-size crossover/SUV offerings from Bestune, one of the auto brands from the Chinese auto major FAW Group. More than a year after its debut in China, the Bestune T90 is all set to be launched in the UAE car market, where it will be coming in a fully loaded Limousine trim. The four colour options in which the Bestune T90 will be available are white, black, silver, and grey.
The Bestune T90 measures 4,675 mm long, 1,870 mm wide, and 1,690 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1,525 mm. This mid-size SUV from Bestune has a wide fascia with five stretched chrome bars. The LED DRLs are placed on the sides of the uppermost slat of the grille, while the LED headlamps sit within gloss black housings on the corners of the front bumper.
The Bestune T90 has a good stance when viewed sideways, with its tall visual appeal complemented by 18-inch machined alloy wheels. The T90 also has sharp curves flowing through the rear door panels and fenders, slim roof rails and body mouldings. At the back, the Bestune T90 has a stretched tail lamp cluster from end to end, while having LED combination lights on the sides and an LED-connected light bar with Bestune nameplate in the middle.
The cabin of the Bestune T90 is finished in a unique dual-tone purple and grey theme, with the SUV having chrome accents on the spokes of the multi-functional steering wheel, surrounds of the AC vents, middle layer of the dashboard, and inner door handles. The presence of the new-age full-TFT screens – an 8-inch rectangular instrument console and a 12.6-inch portrait-styled touchscreen infotainment system, along with the 9.6-inch head-up display, make the cabin of the T90 look modern.
The Bestune T90 also comes equipped with decent levels of equipment, the list of which includes a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, a touch-controlled panel for the dual-zone automatic climate control, a full suite of ADAS features, a 360-degree parking camera, six airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system.
For the UAE car market, the Bestune T90 is being offered with a single engine and transmission combination – a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine churns out a maximum power output of 225 bhp, while the peak torque output is rated at 380 Nm. The Bestune T90 claims a fuel efficiency of 7.3 kmpl, which is quite lower than the segment standards. There is also a 1.5-litre petrol engine available in the Chinese auto market, which has been skipped for the UAE-spec version.
The T90 has already been listed on Bestune’s official website, with the Chinese carmaker set to launch the midsize SUV officially in the first quarter of 2025. Positioned in the midsize SUV and crossover category, the Bestune T90 will compete with a range of midsize SUVs like Jetour Dashing, Ford Territory, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Kona, Haval H6, MG HS and Changan CS75 Plus.
