2024 Hyundai Creta facelift gets a debut date

ABU DHABI: Hyundai has confirmed the debut date for the facelifted Creta. The updated version of the top-selling Hyundai SUV will be revealed globally on January 16, 2024. The facelift's India-bound version will have unique exterior styling and innovative tech to give a tough fight to its competitors.

As per the spy shots, the upcoming India-bound Creta's facelift will have a unique rear styling, diverging from the front design. The updated design of the facelifted Creta is expected to align with the newer Hyundai models' aesthetics, like the Palisade, the latest Santa Fe, and Exter.

The facelifted version of the Creta will feature an updated tailgate, bumper, and H-shaped LED DRLs similar to the Exter sub-compact SUV. It will also have cube-like detailing, a split-unit vertical headlamp design, and an upgraded front grille. 

The cabin has not been changed much with the 10.25-inch infotainment screen remaining the same as the earlier models. A few changes and additions have been made, such as advanced driver assistance systems and new upholstery shades similar to the Seltos.

The Creta facelift will be equipped with a new 160 hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine present in models like the Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Seltos, alongside the existing 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines, both delivering 115hp. Transmission options will include a manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT.

The updated Hyundai Creta will compete against the Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and Volkswagen Taigun in the global markets.
