2020 Nissan Patrol spied in the UAE
ABU DHABI: The 2020 Nissan Patrol has been spied coasting around in the Middle East. A video is floating on the internet, which shows that the upcoming SUV will get an all-new tailgate and a few tweaks in the outfit.
The quality of the video is not that good, so it is hard to find out about the additional styling. However, the car is likely to get only a minor facelift. The modification or the update will be identical to the 2018 QX80.
If the assumptions turn out to be right, the Patrol / Armada will surely get an updated front fascia along with restyled headlights. Moreover, a new steering wheel and shifter will be the part of the car’s minor interior updates. The driver assistance systems will be revamped as well. However, all these are not official as the carmaker has not given any updates yet.
It looks like Nissan will not change the engine options as well. The US-spec Armada will come with a 5.6-litre V8 engine, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 390 hp and the peak torque is 534 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the engine comes with an optional four-wheel-drive system too.
In the other markets, the Armada is known as Patrol, which features a 4.0-litre V6 mill, which is capable of making a maximum power of 275 hp, while the peak torque is at 394 Nm. There is also a Nismo version that can develop a maximum power of 428 hp.
It is expected that the carmaker will reveal the 2020 Nissan Patrol soon, while pricing details will be known closer to its launch.
