GMC HUMMER EV

The futuristic-looking cabin of the GMC Hummer EV has a rectangular and vertically aligned dashboard and elements on it, with the cabin having premium artificial leather perforated upholstery for the door panels and seats. The infinity roof with modular sky panels made of glass makes the cabin look unique and gives it a very spacious feel. 

The steering wheel, surrounds of AC vents and screens, and inserts of door panels get contrasting bronze accents that uplift the ambience of the all-black cabin. Taking inspiration from previous-generation Hummer SUVs sold in the past, the front profile of the GMC Hummer EV has the same horizontally stretched fascia as the Hummer SUVs from the past. The electric SUV has an all-LED arrangement with a Hummer EV light bar over the front closed grille and slim LED headlamps on the sides. These lights demonstrate walk-up and departure animations, charge status, and turn signals. 

The GM Hummer EV has muscular-looking front and rear bumpers with huge skid plates, squared and muscular wheel arches, boxy profile for the doors, windows, and tailgat,e and squared design for the tailgate and LED tail lamps on its sides. The tailgate opens sideways and has the spare wheel mounted on it, just like the original Hummer. Other eye-catching highlights of the Hummer EV are rear charge port lighting with charge status and LED front and rear crystal-like amber and marker lamps.

The independent suspension setups at the front and rear of the GMC Hummer EV has air ride adaptive suspension with adjustable ride height and on-road and off-road drive modes like entry/exit (for improved vehicle access), aero (for reduced drag), terrain/increased mode (for increased ground clearance) and first-of-its-kind extract mode (increase of ground clearance by up to 6 inches).

The GMC Hummer EV also comes with four-wheel steering that also features the CrabWalk system for unique diagonal driving. Other optional systems that enhance the off-road driving of the Hummer EV include front E-lockers and rear virtual lockers, heavy-duty ball-spine half shafts, 18-inch wheels with 35-inch mud-terrain tyres, and underbody skid plates and cameras. 

The GM Hummer EV, in its 3X variant that is available in the UAE, comes with a three-motor Ultium drive system, with one motor at the front and two motors at the back giving it an all-wheel drive setup. The combined power output of these three motors of the Hummer EV 3X is rated at 830 bhp, while the peak torque output is rated a whopping 15,592 Nm – the highest torque output by any production SUV ever. The 20-module 246.8kWh Ultium battery offered in the GMC Hummer EV is capable of delivering a range of 480 km and is compatible with 800V DC fast charging. 

The GMC Hummer EV is armed with a plethora of general and advanced safety features, with the list including an electronic parking brake, StabiliTrak electronic stability control and traction control, ProGrade trailering system, Super-Cruise hands-free driving assistance technology, adaptive cruise control, safety alert seat, adaptive headlamps, forward collision alert, forward distance warning and front and rear park assist.

The list further includes ten airbags, enhanced automatic parking assist, high-definition surround vision, enhanced automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, rear pedestrian alert, rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, automatic vehicle hold, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, lane change alert with side blind zone alert and trailer side blind zone alert.
