2019 BMW X5 launched in the UAE
ABU DHABI: One of the most popular SUVs of the country has been recently updated. Yes, the 2019 BMW X5 has made its local debut at a starting price of AED 391,000. The new SUV was introduced by AGMC, the official importer of BMW Group products for Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates. The car was showcased at a press conference organized at AGMC’s showroom in Sharjah.
The 2019 model of X5 has taken the versatility, aggressive appeal, and comfort level to new heights. In comparison to the outgoing version, the 2019 BMW X5 is longer and features improved character lines all over the body. The German automaker has ditched bulky over athletic and SUV’s design reflects it in an effective manner. You get clear defined surfaces and sculpted bonnet which is bolder than the previous version. The signature kidney grille is kept intact with improved proportions and the headlight unit gets Laser lights as an option.
At the rear, new taillights highlight a more generic elongated form, which makes the overall design in-line to the current trend in the segment. The cabin is feature rich as usual, a 12.3-inch touchscreen is equipped on the instrument panel and center console. Whereas, the ventilated front seats are power-adjustable and can offer you a relaxing massage. Another addition in the new X5 is a 1500-watt, 20-speaker, Bowers & Wilkins stereo system which was not available in the outgoing version.
There are two engine options available with the updated X5. The first is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder unit that makes out 340 hp of maximum power and 450 Nm of peak torque. The second option is the more powerful, 4.4-litre V8 that pumps out 462 hp of maximum power and can clock 100 kmph from standstill in 4.8 seconds. To make your drive comfortable on vivid terrains, the 2019 BMW X5 comes with four driving modes that optimize the transmission, stability control system and accelerator, depending on the surface.
So, this was a brief on the new BMW X5 launched in the local market. Let’s see how the 2019 model year takes on the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
