This sedan is sculpted elegantly to fit and finish even the smallest of details imparting a nice feel to it. As you step inside, the synthetic fabric veneer seat greets you with a chunky steering wheel that offers a wonderful grip. Jetta comes nicely finished as well following the traditional appeal of the entire Volkswagen range. Front center armrest with storage box and Automatic climate control air conditioning system adds to its luxury levels. Jetta also gets other notches like ipod connectivity, Park Distance Control and display on the central infotainment system. With a significant space in rear and front, Jetta gives a bootspace of 510 litre which is considerably adequate in its class.

Exteriors and interiors of Jetta compliment each other beautifully. The front of Jetta appears attractive with the horizontal radiator grille, angular lamps and tray shaped splitter. The modified bumpers along with new fog lights and air inlets exhibits its character. At the tail end, it adopts a redesigned rear hatch and well crafted rear bumpers integrated with diffuser and brazen reflectors. The Rear and front headlamps are nicely equipped with LED technology, rendering intensity to the lights. The new Sedan gets its silhouette measured as 4659mm x 1778mm x 1482mm (L x W x H) with a wheelbase of 2651mm. Furthermore, the power adjustable exterior mirror, one touch windows, Electric tilt/slide glass sunroof with front fog lights accentuates its appearance. Its xenon headlamps, bumper and daytime running lamps give it a striking resemblance to the Passat, which is not bad at all.

New Jetta comes in three variants: Jetta S, Jetta SE and Jetta SEL. It comes with two engine choices, the first is a 2.0-litre engine which efficiently churns out 115 bhp of power at 5200 rpm with the maximum torque of 170 Nm at 4000 rpm. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph within 12 seconds while gets a top speed of 193 kmph. The second choice comes as a 2.5-litre engine which generates a power of 170 hp with a maximum torque of 249 Nm. It efficiently speeds away to the top speed of 200 kmph while getting the acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph within 9.0 seconds. The fuel economy for both the engines lie at a laudable 14.08 kmpl.

Safety can never be compromised at any cost. Jetta incorporates all measures to ensure active and passive safety. The integrated central locking system along with radio remote control is enabled. For active safety, features like Anti lock braking system, Hill hold control and Electronic stability program are incorporated which help in controlling the vehicle sensing critical situations and act accordingly. The passive safety is cinched up with the Driver, front, side and curtain airbag system.

The Volkswagen Jetta is a luxury sedan that contains all the features of a high end sedan along with maintaining elegance and simplicity. The performance numbers are decent too.
