Audi Q5-2025

The covers are off the all-new 2025 Audi Q5 SUV, which has already gone on sale in the European car markets. However, the UAE car market is expected to receive the new Q5 in the first quarter of 2025. The Q5 is the second Audi product with internal combustion engines to be based on the new-generation Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) platform, after the A5 sedan that will replace the A4 in the UAE car market. 

Like the other new-generation Audis, the 2025 Q5 also has a smoothened-out design language, with the edgier creases toned out with smoother edges and curves. At the front, while the Audi Q5 gets a wider grille with slightly smoother edges and large honeycomb inserts, it also gets sleeker and slightly curvaceous Matrix LED headlamps, which have up to eight customisable LED DRL designs.

Even the new sleeker OLED combination tail lamps with prominent LED-connected light bars have different three-dimensional lighting patterns for the LED inserts. The rear profile also gets new functional exhaust tips, while the SUV is expected to get 18-inch to 21-inch wheel options. 

The cabin of the Audi Q5 has been significantly revamped in this third-generation version, with it having a new design language similar to other newer cars from the German marquee. Named “Digital Stage”, a new curved panoramic display covers much of the dashboard of the Q5, with having 11.9-inch screen for the instrument console and a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. There is also an optional 10.9-inch infotainment screen that covers the co-passenger side of the dashboard. 

With Kaskade fabric or Dinamica microfibre leather upholstery options, the new Audi Q5 will also get a new-generation MMI infotainment system with integrated ChatGPT AI for in-car connectivity functions. To ensure the occupants get the feels of a modern luxury car, the Audi Q5 has been equipped with a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system with noise cancellation, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, powered front seats with massage and memory functions, panoramic sunroof, dynamic ambient lighting, 15W wireless charger. High-output USB charging ports and a sliding rear bench. 

Audi has updated the petrol and diesel engine options of the previous-generation Q5 with new 48V mild-hybrid tech, though the UAE car market is expected to get only the petrol powertrain. Paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission, the new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine develops 204 PS of maximum power, with the 48V mild-hybrid system pumping in an additional 24 PS of power output. The mild-hybrid system also includes a 1.7kWh LFP battery, which is a key component of the regenerative braking system. 

To make it a more dynamic SUV to drive, Audi has bestowed the new Q5 with passive frequency selective dampers, a stiffer front axle, and variable-ratio steering, which give it additional stability at higher speeds and corners. Audi will also offer adaptive air suspension as an option in the new Q5. Like before, the new Audi Q5 will compete with Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X3.
