Here’s the UAE born Ajlani Drakuma
Ajlani Drakuma, the mystery car that’s been designed and produced in the UAE, has been unveiled at the 2019 Dubai Motor Show. Making news from the past five years, the Drakuma is in works to enter the motoring world, still in the concept phase, though.
The carbon-fibre Drakuma was earlier believed to be named as the Dragon. But the company had different plans, of course. The Drakuma joins the list of cars produced in the UAE with already christened names, the W Motors Sandstrom Auto and the Devel.
The Drakuma is a two-seater hypercar featuring doors that’ll open like the dragon wings. The hypercar has been entirely built with carbon-fibre to keep the weight down. The production count has been set to just 99 units, of which each will be tailor-made based on the owner’s request.
It was earlier believed that the company would bless it with a W12 or V16 quad-turbo engine, however, the company has gone with a smaller displacement powerhouse, the V8 with a couple of turbochargers. Mounted in the middle, the engine will produce 1216 PS of power. This is approximately the same amount of power that the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport produces with its W16 quad-turbo 8.0-litre engine.
The company hasn’t shared any detail about its pricing and production commencement. There might be a few who would be sceptical about the Ajlani Drakuma’s production, but what’s important at the moment is that at least the car showed up in Dubai.
