The all-new 2019 Ford Focus goes official

ABU DHABI: The 2019 Ford Focus has officially been unveiled after teasing us with a number of teasers and spy pictures. The all-new Ford Focus is going to be available in three body styles - a sedan, hatchback as well as a wagon.

The Focus hatchback features a wide trapezoidal grille, which is shared by both the other forms as well. All the three models also share defined edges at the front corners. The back face of the hatchback gets wraparound tail lights. As for the lower half of the bumper, different variants feature different looks.

When it comes to the sedan, a longer and a lot more upright backdoors can be seen. The tail lights remain the same as that of the hatchback, however, the rear side gets a lot more curves.
The all-new Ford Focus Wagon shares a lot of its exterior design with the hatchback model except for a more prolonged tail end. The rear fascia is also pretty much similar to the hatchback. An integrated rear spoiler can be found in all the models.

All the three models feature the same cabin layout and get well-designed angles and comfortable seating arrangements offering a spacious room and cargo space. Its dashboard features a floating infotainment screen.

As for the powerplant, the all-new Ford Focus is available with three turbo-diesel (dubbed as EcoBlue) engines and four turbocharged gas engines. The 1.5-litre EcoBlue engine can generate a maximum power of 96 PS, which can be tuned up to 121 PS and generate a peak torque of 300 Nm in both the scenarios. The 2.0-litre EcoBlue delivers a maximum power of 150PS along with the peak torque of 300 Nm.

For the EcoBoost petrol engines, the 1.0-litre variant is capable of generating a maximum power of 85 PS which can be tuned up to 100 PS and 125 PS. Those unsatisfied with this can opt for the 1.5-litre Ecoboost engine that chunks out a power of 150 PS and can further be tuned up to 182 PS. Most of the engines come with an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission system.
