Peugeot introduces the all-new 5008 with electric and hybrid options

ABU DHABI: Peugeot has come up with the new three-row 5008  with hybrid and electric options to capitalize on market trends favouring electrification, aligning with environmental concerns, and complying with emissions regulations. It will be available in both plug-in-hybrid and electric variants. A more budget-friendly mild-hybrid version will also be sold by the French brand of Stellantis.

A plug-in hybrid version is offered alternatively that combines a 123-hp electric motor with a 150-hp combustion engine, delivering an electric range of over 50 miles and 195 hp. 

    The fully electric e-5008 is available in multiple configurations, with a front-wheel-drive, single-motor variant offering 210 or 228 hp, while the all-wheel-drive, dual-motor version generates a combined output of 318 hp. You get different battery options. For 311 miles of range, you get a 73.0-kWh pack and for 410 miles you’re offered a larger 98.0-kWh pack. 

    The batteries are offered with a 100,000-mile or an eight-year guarantee, with basic features including an 11-kW charger, a heat pump, and an optional 22-kW charger that supports up to 160 kW DC charging.
