Pagani reveals Utopia Roadster; weighs equivalent to the coupe version

ABU DHABI: Pagani has revealed the Utopia Roadster, the new convertible version of its V12-powered hypercar. This topless version weighs the same as the coupe and offers both soft top and hardtop options.

Despite being a convertible, the Pagani Utopia Roadster matches the 1,280 kg (2,822 pounds) weight of the coupe version. This is because both body styles have been developed together, sharing the same performance specs and monocoque chassis.

The Utopia Roadster boasts a removable glass panel soft-top and hard-top for changing weather. When not in use you can store the hard-top on a stand.

The interior of the Utopia Roadster is stunning with leather, aluminium, and carbon fibre throughout. The seven-speed manual retains the exposed gear linkage, with a polished shifter insert in carbon fibre.

The Utopia Roadster is equipped with a 6.0-litre V-12 twin-turbo engine with 811 lb-ft of torque and 852 horsepower, matched to an electro-mechanical rear axle differential. It can achieve an electronically limited 217 mph top speed, slightly lower than the 220 mph that the coupe version claims to achieve. Buyers can choose between a seven-speed automated manual or a seven-speed manual with paddle shifters, lacking the engagement of a manual but offering rapid shifts.

The Utopia Roadster will maintain its exclusivity with only 130 units produced globally. The starting price will be €3.1 million each (approximately AED 12,830,000). The world debut of the first Utopia Roadster is set for August at Monterey Car Week.
