Lamborghini Urus safety concern prompts recall in Australia

ABU DHABI: Due to a critical safety issue involving the latch mechanism of the bonnet, Lamborghini Australia has recalled around 94 Urus SUVs. As mentioned in the recall notice, the issue is related to the improper assembly of the hood latch striker rivet studs. This oversight could cause the bonnet to become detached or open while driving, posing a significant risk to both road users and passengers.

The affected vehicles are specifically the S and Performante variants. However, the exact model years have not been mentioned in the recall notice. The lack of detail may leave owners of these variants confused about whether their Lamborghini Urus vehicle falls within the recall scope.

The owners of the affected vehicles should immediately contact their authorized dealer to fix an appointment for the latch striker rivet studs replacement. The replacement will be done free of cost.
