Lamborghini Urus Performante joins Dubai Police fleet

ABU DHABI: Lamborghini revealed that the Urus Performante has been acquired by the Dubai Police. It will now function as a patrol duty car and marks a collaboration between the law enforcement agency in Dubai and the renowned Italian luxury carmaker.

During the Dubai Airshow 2023 special ceremony, the keys to a unique Urus Performante were handed over to Dubai Police Acting Commander-in-Chief Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani by Automobili Lamborghini. Paolo Sartori, Regional Head for Lamborghini in Africa and the Middle East emphasized how the vehicle can contribute to enhancing the city's security and play an important role in public safety. This special edition Urus will perform various public duties.

The Lamborghini Urus Performante is equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 656 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. It takes just 3.3 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 kmph and can achieve a top speed of 306 kmph. 

After being modified for police work, it now features police logos, the classic white and green livery, a rear spoiler with an electric siren and blue 360-degree LED light bar.

The special Lamborghini Urus Performante also has a customized passenger compartment that features all the important police equipment including an armored gun box, a specialized boot compartment for service equipment, a fold-down message display, and a defibrillator for first aid response. This high-performance Super SUV’s addition to the Dubai Police fleet aims to enhance patrol capabilities and ensure the security of tourists and residents across Dubai.
