The Electrified GV70 uses a modified petrol platform instead of the E-GMP architecture. While Genesis has not yet confirmed the new WLTP range, it is expected to increase to around 500 km from the current 445 km, based on improvements seen in the Ioniq 5.

The Electrified GV70 has received a charging port flap that can be electronically controlled with a heating element for improved lighting and cold weather. The dual-motor AWD powertrain has not been changed, delivering 360 kW and 700 Nm in Boost Mode. Despite the battery upgrade to 84kWh, its compact size ensures there is no impact on the 4.2-second 0-100 kmph of the SUV.

From its petrol twin, the electric GV70 has adopted various tech upgrades such as a touchscreen climate control, 27-inch OLED display, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Additional features include fingerprint authentication, micro-lens LED lights, an aroma diffuser, augmented reality navigation, and UV sterilization.
