Bugatti isn’t planning for an SUV
ABU DHABI: When every automaker is feeling the pressure of building an SUV, Bugatti has made it clear that there is no future plan of introducing one. The article posted on the company’s website by the president, Stephan Winkelmann stated that bringing in an SUV is not a future proposition. Adding to that it also read, “an SUV would not do justice to the brand or its history.”
Although there are no future plans of building an SUV, the company has other things lined up in the coming years. One of the surprises Bugatti will be unwrapping soon is a grand tour of places where Ettore Bugatti was prominent. This is slated to happen this year when the company celebrates its 110th anniversary. Additionally, Bugatti has a few models to be shown that will be presented as time unfolds.
The article contained other information about the brand, including vehicle production and the production update of the upcoming Chiron. Bugatti produced 76 cars in the last year. Limited to only 500 units, the Chiron’s production is expected to wrap by the end of 2021.
Now, with the company making a statement about the presentation of further models, rumours are expected to roll out. One could be of a four-door model that is expected to come but with zero percentage confirmation. For new models, Bugatti hasn’t come out clear yet. We’ll have to wait and see what the French automaker has to offer in the coming years.
