Aston Martin launches DB11 V8 Shadow Edition, limited to 300 units

It’s a special occasion and special launching kind of celebration for Aston Martin DB11 V8. On its third anniversary, the company is aiming to keep things fresh by offering a new Shadow Edition. With this, the British manufacturer becomes another luxury carmaker to join the caravan of dark aesthetics.

It is indeed delightful to watch a sexy sports car shining on the road. From its sleek lines, shapely contours, as well as its distinct silhouette, getting to see one of these cars closely, is a treat in itself. Going by the glistening shape and styling, perhaps one of the most good-looking sports cars out there is the Aston Martin DB11. It is acclaimed as the brand’s first flagship tourer and is available with either a V12 or V8 under the hood. Aston Martin now brings to the road, the shadowed version for the dark mode lovers. 

The limited-run DB11 V8 Shadow Edition, with its production capped at 300 units globally, will be made available in both Coupe and Volante body-styles.

It’s called the Shadow Edition due to its mischievously dark appearance. Neat touches of gloss black, black chrome, and anodized black finishes highlight the Shadow Edition’s sinister look.

Apart from the visual enhancement, no upgrades have been made to powertrain and V8 remains untouched on that front. The visual upgrades include gloss black bonnet blades, 20-inch gloss black directional alloy wheels, unique black Shadow Edition rim badge, and polished chrome wings. 

Inside, there's a sports steering wheel wrapped in pure black Alcantara and obsidian black leather. Even if that doesn’t satisfy your love for black trim, you can order a package that adds additional gloss black accents to the upper glasshouse. Aston Martin says this “comprehensively” matches the Shadow Edition theme.

Only one engine is available for the DB11 Shadow Edition, the 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8. It cranks out 510 PS with 675 Nm of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2021 Aston Martin DB11 V8 Shadow Edition is available now to order across the globe. The price starts from  AED 817,498 in the Middle Eastern market.
