All-new BMW X5 showcased at the Singapore Motorshow

ABU DHABI: 2019 Singapore Motorshow is in its full flow as automakers officially take covers off their magnificent road beauties. The automaker in focus here is from Germany, BMW, which has displayed a few options. One of which is the all-new BMW X5 xDrive40i that has been redesigned. It is more luxurious and better than before in many aspects.

Available in four variants in Singapore, the all-new BMW X5 features a bigger kidney grille that’s flanked by laserlight headlamps and large air intakes at the front. Over the sides, you get rising character lines towards the rear and at the back, there are refreshed LED tail lights, two-piece split tailgate, and dual exhausts.

Additionally, the model comes with the M Aerodynamics package that includes 22-inch M light alloys and BMW Individual Glossy Shadow Line trims. According to the automaker, a 7-seater version will soon make its way to the Singaporean market.

The all-new BMW X5 is now longer, wider, taller than the previous-gen model by 36 mm, 66 mm and 19 mm, respectively, sporting dimensions of 4,922 mm x 2,004 mm x 1,745 mm. The wheelbase has been increased to 2,975 mm which is an extension of 42 mm over the previous version.

Inside the cabin, it gets the BMW Live Cockpit, including a fully digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch Control Display powered by BMW Operating System 7.0. Moreover, it gets comfort seats, comfort access system, anthracite headliner, Merino leather trim, heads-up display, BMW display key, and Sky Lounge panoramic sunroof. Powering the BMW X5 is an inline six-cylinder 3.0-litre engine that churns out a maximum power of 340 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox and xDrive AWD system.
