2025 Kia Sportage debuts with a sleek new look and upgraded features

ABU DHABI: Kia has revealed the facelifted Sportage in South Korea. It features a more premium interior and refreshed styling cues. The updates include the addition of advanced technologies and new features. 

The fifth-generation Sportage has been on sale for three years globally, however, the facelift comes at the right time ahead of the new year. This facelifted Sportage will compete in the competitive compact SUV market.

The 2025 Kia Sportage’s base model is equipped with a 2.0L engine that delivers around 144 hp. The 1.6L turbo gasoline engine now generates 177 hp, mated with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. 

With the hybrid version, you’ll get the same combination of an electric motor with a 177 hp 1.6L turbo engine, adding 64 hp for 241 hp combined total. This powertrain update leads to improvements across all versions. The new eight-speed transmission enhances responsiveness and driving efficiency. The engine lineup of Sportage continues to offer a balance of fuel efficiency and power.

The facelifted Kia Sportage impresses with its redesigned front fascia with larger bumper inlets, vertically positioned LED headlamps, and a revised grille. New fenders and alloy wheels complement the overall look. No changes have been made to the side body panels. At the rear, a revised bumper and new LED tail lamps enhance the look of the SUV.

The 2025 Kia Sportage X-Line is much more sportier, featuring 19-inch alloy wheels, new bumpers, and blacked-out finishes. 

Inside, you will find a curved dual-screen panel that comprises a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. The updated cabin includes a heads-up display, new interior themes, sharper AC vents, mood lighting, and a two-spoke steering wheel.

Safety tech has been elevated with a grip detection system, vibration alerts, a driver-monitoring camera, and advanced ADAS features. These design updates enhance both technology and style in the Sportage.
