2025 BAIC BJ30 Compact SUV Launched in the UAE

ABU DHABI: The Chinese automotive brand BAIC, in collaboration with Al Shaali Moto, has launched the second-generation BAIC BJ30 compact SUV in the UAE. The 2025 model is now available in the UAE, and its price starts from AED 94,000.

 

The BJ30 has been designed to cater to the needs of off-road enthusiasts as well as urban drivers. It features a bold new design and advanced technologies and comes with a hybrid powertrain. 

Pricing and Variants

BAIC has made its new BJ30 available in three variants. The LV2, which is the base variant, is priced at AED 94,000. The LV3 is the mid variant, and it comes at AED 102,000. The LV5 is the top variant, available at AED 114,000.

The new car is now open for booking, and buyers can start receiving their deliveries from February 2025 onwards. Customers can visit the BAIC showroom in Deira, Dubai or book their vehicles online through the official website. The brand has also opened new showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, which makes the vehicle easily accessible in the UAE.

Engine and Performance

The BJ30 offers two engine configurations:

1.5-Litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine (LV2 and LV3)

• Torque: 280Nm
• Transmission: 7-speed DCT
• Drivetrain: FWD

1.5-Litre Petrol Hybrid (LV5)

• Combined Power: 402hp
• Torque: 680Nm
• Transmission: 2-speed DHT
• Drivetrain: 4WD

The hybrid variant accelerates to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds. The range-extending system in the car charges the battery while delivering top performance. All the variants of the BJ30 come with multiple drive modes like Snow, Sand, Mud, and Wading, which make them suitable for off-roading.

Interior and Technology

The BAIC BJ30 combines both practicality and luxury in its interiors. The cabin is spacious and can comfortably accommodate up to five people. It comes with foldable rear seats, soft-touch materials, and a cargo capacity of up to 1,496 litres.

• A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system
• Dual-zone climate control, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay
• Wireless phone charging and AI-assisted voice commands
• Level 2.5 ADAS safety features, including a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and tyre pressure monitoring

The BJ30 is a new entrant to the competitive compact SUV market in the UAE.
