2020 MG RX8 goes on sale in the UAE

ABU DHABI: The 7-seater spacious SUV is now available for the buyers in the UAE. Al-Yousaf Motors, which is the exclusive retail partner of MG, has launched the brawny-looking MG RX 8 that’s premium in terms of space, comfort, technology, and equipment. 

Considered to be one of the most versatile vehicles in UAE’s MG line-up, the 2020 MG RX8 gets a catchy exterior design with bold styling elements. At the front, the 2020 MG RX8 gets an aggressive chrome grille, LED headlamps, dual-shaped fog lamps, and a sturdy yet stylish lower lip. The hood receives finely-crafted vents that enhance aerodynamics. Additionally, to spruce up its looks, there are components like 20-inch alloys and roof rails. The compact SUV comes with six exterior colour choices for customers to choose from depending on their taste and preferences. 

Inside, the 2020 MG RX8 gets luxurious touches that include wood grain and chrome trims along with soft touches. There is plenty of space for occupants to be at ease; in fact, the company claims that the new RX8 comes with the most spacious third row in the segment with the seating room of 1,155 mm. For extensive luggage, the cargo space can be extended to up to 2,178 litres by folding down the second and third rows. 

Built on the body-on-frame chassis, the 2020 MG RX8 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that churns out a max power of 223 PS and a peak torque of 360 Nm. The RX8 sports a ground clearance of 202 mm and a wading depth of 800 mm. Moreover, the SUV is versatile to perform on different terrains and comes with excellent off-road capabilities. There are various driving modes including sport, off-road, auto, and more. The driver can switch between the modes based on the conditions and road surfaces for optimum performance.

The 2020 MG RX8 is available at a starting price of AED 84,525, along with a 200,00 km or a 6-year warranty.
