2019 GMC Yukon gains two all-new Graphite Edition Variants

ABU DHABI: Just days after introducing the 2019 Sierra Elevation, GMC revealed two all-new 2019 Graphite Editions of the Yukon. As it always looks to advance the Yukon lineup, GMC now has added Yukon Graphite Edition and Yukon Graphite Performance Edition. Where the former features a perfect blend of more darkened exterior appearance, the latter offers several mechanical upgrades to the impressive SUV.  



Stu Pierce, marketing executive for GMC Trucks and Full-Size SUVs said, “The Yukon continues to lead the full-size SUV segment with premium features and an instantly recognizable and well-respected identity.” He further continued, “The all-new Graphite Edition builds on the commanding road presence and inherent capabilities of the Yukon and affords customers the opportunity to project a unique, yet distinctly GMC style.”

The new Yukon Graphite Edition comes with all blacked-out elements. It has 22-inch bright machined wheels with Carbon Flash Metallic highlights, black roof rails, body-color grille surround, and dark assist steps with flashes of gloss black accents. The Graphite Edition also gains a premium black chrome grille with mesh insert and fog lamp surround, gloss black beltline moldings, and some more blacked-out trim.  



Meanwhile, the all-new Graphite Performance Edition adds several other mechanical upgrades to advance the performance level. It is fitted with a 420 horsepower 6.2-litre V8 engine, with 460 pound-foot of torque under the right foot. It has 22-inch six-spoke gloss black wheels, air cleaner of high capacity, 3.23 axle ratio, 170-amp alternator, and a trailer brake controller.

The Performance Edition also gains an active two-speed transfer case for 4WD models, eight-inch color touchscreen infotainment system with navigation & Bose active noise cancellation, multi-colour HUD, active fuel management, and continuously variable valve timing. Buyers can choose to go with the Graphite Performance Edition on any Yukon SLT trim for both Yukon and Yukon XL formats, for both the RWD or 4WD configuration.



Both the 2019 GMC Yukon Graphite Edition models are offered in three exterior colors: Onyx Black, White Frost Tricoat, and Dark Sky Metallic. Undoubtedly, the better of the two is the Yukon Graphite Performance Edition model that caters to those who desire outstanding performance as well as dazzling looks.

These two Graphite Editions SUVs are expected to go on sale this summer while pricing is going to be announced closer to the sale day.
