2018 Dodge Durango SRT arrives in the Middle East

ABU DHABI: The 2018 Durango SRT is finally here and we are already going gaga over it. For unawares, it is a muscular performance SUV with a big 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine that’s hell powerful. With a capacity to accommodate seven members at max and lots of comfort and convenience features, this Dodge SUV deserves all the praise in the world.

On the outside, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT carries a dominating character and features a striking SRT hood with an air-scoop, a redesigned bumper, new air intakes, LED fog lamps and a new SRT-inspired mesh-patterned grille at the front. At the back, it gets Nickel chrome twin exhaust outlets sticking out of either ends, wraparound tail lights that are connected to one another with a red stripe, a door-mounted spoiler, and a fish-antenna too. Enhancing the exterior appeal are components like flared-out wheel arches, big and sparkling alloys and ‘392’ badges painted in bright chrome and metallic grey.

Step inside and you’d get astonished with its luxurious cabin. The Nappa leather seats with suede inserts and SRT logos are offered as standard. There is a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster with an 8.4-inch Uconnect media interface with Bluetooth connectivity for your entertainment and navigation needs. It also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A flat-bottomed steering wheel has been included in the SUV for driver’s comfort.

Pop the hood and you’d find a mighty 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine that produces 481.5 PS of max power and 637 Nm of peak torque at 4300 rpm, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system.

The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT comes with more than 60 safety features, out of which the most notable ones are seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and the rear cross path detection.
