SERES 7

The interior of the Seres 7 is being offered with three options for the upholstery colour: black, beige, and camel. While the black upholstery version features a dark stone-themed layer, the Beige and Camel themes come with a more premium-looking faux wood finish.

The Seres 7 impresses with the level of modernity it showcases on the inside, with the 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console and the 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system making the interior look up-to-date. The two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel of the Seres 7 is both tilt and telescopic adjustable and is heated. 

Between the front seats, the central tunnel has a concealed storage compartment beneath it and cup holders and a wireless charger above it. The other premium features of the cabin, including a panoramic sunroof, 12-way powered front seats, 8-way powered rear seats (in the 6-seater version), Nappa leather upholstery for the seats, three-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, ventilated front and second-row seats with massage function, a powered tailgate and a premium sound system further uplift the ambience of the cabin. 

Inspired by premium German SUVs, the Seres 7 has an air of simplicity and elegance in its design. The simple-looking front profile of the Seres 7 includes a sleek, chrome-garnished trapezoidal grille across the width of the fascia. The chrome strip above the grille is stretched between the headlamp housings, equipped with dual LED projectors and DRLs.

The front bumper has a massive air dam with horizontal slats across the width, and the corners have C-shaped vertical curtains. The RWD variants get 20-inch machined alloy wheels, while the AWD variants have 21-inch machined alloy wheels that elevate the SUV's premium stance. Inspired by modern Lexus SUVs, the Series 7's rear profile has stretched LED combination tail lamps with a connected LED light bar between them.

The Seres 7 might have a futuristic hybrid powertrain, but the suspension setup of the SUV is quite a conventional one – an independent double wishbone at the front and an independent trapezoidal multi-link at the rear. This suspension setup has been optimised for supple ride quality. The AWD variants also have four driving modes and advanced all-wheel drive for better traction, though the steering responses could have been more precise.  

All the variants of the Seres 7 come with a 1.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, with the RWD variants having a single motor setup claiming 266.4 PS and 354 Nm and the AWD variants having a dual motor setup claiming 439 PS and 654 Nm. The 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is part of this powertrain setup churns out 115.5 PS and 190 Nm, while the 40kWh lithium-ion battery delivers a pure electric range of 166 km in the RWD variants and 162 km in the AWD variants.

The Seres 7 comes packed with a host of advanced radar-controlled safety features, the list which includes lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane cruise assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, door opening warning, auto parking assist, lane change assist, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring system, rear interspersed warning and vehicle to load.

The other standard safety features of the Seres 7 are six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree parking camera, ABS with EBD, traction control, front and rear parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

While the Seres 7 might not appeal to driving enthusiasts for a not-so-performance-centric engine and lacklustre steering feel, this SUV feels modern in every way, right from the way it looks and is feature-packed inside-out to the tech-laden powertrain setup under its hood.
