Introduction
Owing to its list of gracious luxury successors the American automobile brand Lincoln has been successful in establishing a prestigious stand for itself in the automobile market. Among its versatile luxury vehicle range lies a renowned asset of the company the Lincoln MKX. The vehicle is a mid-size, five seater crossover (CUV), which marked its debut in the world market in December 2006. The SUV is a re-badged variant of the Ford Edge, sharing Ford's CD3 platform along with Mazda CX-9. The car is presently flourishing in its first generation with a major exterior and interior refreshments in 2011 and will enter in its second generation in the year 2016.

The cabins are also capaciously spaced and provides you a cargo volume of 915 litres.

The exterior designers have displayed a perfect amalgamation of ruggedness and sophistication in the exterior design of the car. The gracious robustness featured by the front look of the car is a product of the curvaceous and elegant front fascia, the signature split-wing grille with chromed slats, available HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps and the commanding front bumper design, which further adds an authoritative front look to the car. The expressive wheel arches, the dazzling Bi-color combination taillamps with indirect LED lamps integrated on the purely sporty and curved rear body of the car along with the chromed oval exhaust tips unmistakably hints the sporty DNA of the car. The dynamically impressive crossover is poured-in life by a 3.7-Litre Ti-VCT (Twin independent Variable Camshaft Timing) 24-valve aluminium V6 engine, which squeezes out energy efficiently from each drop of fuel to pour down a maximum power of 305hp at 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 379 Nm at 4000 rpm. This finely-refined power-mill hugs a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, which in-coordination with the engine projects the car to attain a speed of 100kmph from rest in just 6.8 seconds. The SUV is exclusively available in a front-wheel drive version as well as all-wheel drive version, which displays a combined fuel economy of 11.1 litres/100km for the former and 12 litres/100km for the latter.
