Interior:

The designers have impressively displayed all their creativity and engineering in the car which is quite evident from its charming interior design. CTS comes employed with eight unique interior environment settings that correctly compliments your individuality. The cockpit of the car is purely driver-oriented with its leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, the crystal clear 8 inch diagonal LCD display which serves as an interface for audio, video and navigation controls and the ergonomically designed control panel. The body hugging leather seats have been provided with 12-way power adjustments and 4-way lumbar adjustments which elevates the comfort level. The cargo volume offered by the car is 388 litres, which falls a little low for this class.

Exterior:

The sedan is impeccably designed with a prominent artistic sense and aerodynamic details which captivates and pleases every eye on the car. The cynosure of attraction is the soul pleasing grille design with hidden active aero grille shutters that automatically close to maximize aerodynamics when additional engine cooling is not required. The wheelbase provided measures 2910 mm which makes the car quite spacious inside.

Engine, mileage and variants:

CTS comes in 3 different lines namely standard, luxury and performance and all these variants are powered either by a 2.0-litre VVT 4 cylinder engine or a 3.6 litre VVT V6 engine. The 2.0 litre petrol engine can churn out a maximum power of 272 hp at 5500 rpm alongside a peak torque of 400 Nm at 1700-5500 rpm. These figures increase significantly with the more powerful 3.6-litre petrol engine which punches out a maximum power of 321 hp at 6800 rpm coupled with a peak torque as high as 371 Nm at 4800 rpm. This refined engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission(8-speed in CTS Bold) with Performance Activated Shifts and Performance Algorithm Liftfoot technologies. The 3.6 litre V6 engine can dispatch 100 km/hr from stand-still in about 7.4 seconds. In terms of fuel economy, the most efficient engine is the 2.0 litre VVT engine which offers a fuel economy of 8.5 kmpl.

Safety, braking and miscellaneous:

The efficient handling offered by the car is a result of the advanced McPherson strut arrangement provided for the front suspension and a five-link arrangement at the rear. The 4 piston front brakes work in harmonics with the Anti-Lock Braking System to deliver a superior braking performance. The company ensures a dependable safety for its occupants with the large array of safety features installed in the car. Cadillac CTS has been equipped with copious safety features like the traction control, braking assists including the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), Parking space-age technology which acts as automatic parking assist and the optimally positioned airbags.
