Yangwang U9: Redefining Electric Supercars With Revolutionary Tech

Abu Dhabi : Chinese EV maker BYD’s luxury brand Yangwang unveiled its high-performance electric supercar U9 early last year. This powerful, futuristic mode comes with cutting-edge technology and performance figures that take the EV supercar market to the next level. 

After the launch of the local market, Yangwang plans to introduce the U9 to global markets. As of this global introduction, this supercar is expected in the Middle East, in 2025. This hypercar is likely to enthrall car enthusiasts in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as the U9 blends innovative features with elegant design aiming to set a new benchmark for electric supercars. 

The official launch is not announced by the brand, and so the prices are unknown at this point. However, we expect Yangwang to price the U9 at approximately AED 1 million, and take on some marquee brands in the high-end supercar segment in UAE.

From the teaser, we see the Yangwang U9’s exterior has an aerodynamic, sculpted design bolstered by butterfly doors that improve performance and style. The cabin is undoubtedly luxurious and packed with highly premium materials like Alcantara and carbon fiber. The 10.25-inch digital cluster, a 12.30-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a Dynaudio sound system stand out to make sure the occupants will have superior comfort and entertainment.

Since it is a high-powered electric supercar, the U9 uplifts the technological boundaries with features like the DiSus-X Intelligent Suspension System, allowing obstacle jumping and synchronized movements. The car’s quad-motor fitment promises to deliver mind-blowing 1,287hp of power and 1,680 Nm of insane torque for unparalleled driving fun. Safety and convenience are equally important for the brand, and so it has been offered a sophisticated advanced ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane-Keeping Assist.
