Vazirani Shul unveiled at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed

ABU DHABI: Vazirani has unleashed India’s first electric hypercar, Shul at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed today. For the India based company, Shul first electric hypercar to be launched at a global platform.

Vazirani Automotive is headed by Chunky Vazirani, and in fact is also its chief designer as well. Mr Vazirani is a graduate from the Art Center in California and with design experience from Rolls-Royce, Jaguar and Land Rover. The company was established in 2015, had revealed design sketches of the Shul some days ago. The launch was made in much fanfare for the world debut of the Vazirani Shul. The hypercar was unwrapped by Chunky Vazirani himself and he stated that the idea of this electric hypercar is to be calm, composed and not flashy.

Inspired by Gran Turismo video game series, the Vazirani Shul concept is designed under the guidance of Kazunori Yamauchi, the producer of the video game. While you can see a hint of McLaren here and a dash of Aston Martin there in the design, the overall design looks much better and sporty. There are a lot of air channels on the car to make airflow around it smoother, even in the slim, fin-like headlights as well.

Unlike other supercars which have rear view mirrors, it has cameras outside each door which give a view of the car coming from behind. The rear has one big vertical exhaust and slim angular tail lights as well.

Vazirani states the Shul's styling strike the right balance between art and science, unlike other modern-day hypercars which are "designed by engineering". He further states that the production for this concept car will be in limited numbers.

The main idea of Vazirani Shul is to eliminate range anxiety and to add an aural element to this electric hypercar. Hence it has a 35 kw of electric turbine which extends its range and weighs only 80kgs. The electric turbine is paired with a lightweight battery pack and will work as an onboard generator that'll help charge the batteries.

There is currently no other details on power, range or any other technical specifications. Once the company goes into production of this concept, we shall have more details of this amazing hypercar.
