UAE gets the taste of world’s first AC Schnitzer BMW M5 Competition

ABU DHABI: It is the time to rejoice for BMW lovers and fans in the UAE. The company’s first BMW M5 Competition tuned by AC Schnitzer, a tuning company based in Aachen, Germany, has landed in the gulf and it is available for sale. And if you are an enthusiast who is crazy about performance and style, then this is the model you’d be wanting desperately.

To begin with, the BMW M5 Competition gets a wondrous AC Schnitzer body kit that includes a front splitter, a carbon fibre front spoiler, a rear roof spoiler, a rear diffuser, and side skirts.

Moreover, it gets a new exhaust system that has intelligently been positioned under the bodywork. A ‘Racing’ carbon fibre rear wing is also present that’s been attached to the boot lid. Additionally, there a glossy back highlights aggrandizing the rear bumper, front grille, and the mirror caps.

Inside the cabin, everything remains to be the same as on the standard M5 Competition except the custom-made paddle shifters.

On the performance front, the M5 Competition, after the AC Schnitzer upgrade, can churn out a max power of 699.5 PS and a peak torque of 850 Nm. This means that the new tuned model is capable of producing 74 PS and 100 Nm of more power and torque respectively than the standard model. The Standard M5 Competition pumps out 625.5 PS and 750 Nm.

The standard M5 Competition can travel from nought to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds before hitting the 200 kmph mark in a matter of 10.8 seconds. These numbers are likely to alter with the latest AC Schnitzer upgrade package. So, expect some brutal power and acceleration from the new BMW M5 Competition.
