Suzuki launches new Grand Vitara in Indonesia
ABU DHABI: Suzuki has recently launched its new Grand Vitara in Indonesia. The latest model is a significant improvement over its predecessor and promises to be a formidable contender in the crossover SUV market.
The Grand Vitara features a sleek and modern design, with a hexagonal grille, split headlight design, and LED daytime running lights. It also has a set of 17-inch diamond-cut wheels, squared-off wheel arches with cladding, and LED lights that wrap around the rear of the crossover. The Grand Vitara's height of 1,645 mm and 210 mm ground clearance make it ideal for navigating the bumps and potholes of the metro.
The Grand Vitara's interior has been given a significant upgrade, with leather upholstery in black, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless charging. The top-of-the-line trim can also be fitted with a heads-up display, cruise control, rear aircon vents, and a rear centre armrest with cup holders. The 360-degree camera system available in Indonesia is also a welcome addition, making manoeuvring the car easier.
The Grand Vitara is equipped with a 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder engine paired with Suzuki's Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a battery. Suzuki's Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SVHS) system enhances the power delivery as well as the fuel economy of the car's engine. The Grand Vitara has a six-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters, making for a smooth and comfortable ride.
The Grand Vitara's launch in Indonesia has fuelled speculation that it could soon be released in the other ASEAN markets, where it is anticipated to be a game-changer in the affordable crossover space.
