Suzuki Jimny Heritage debuts in Australia, limited to 300 units

ABU DHABI: Earlier this year, Suzuki launched the more practical and longer five-door variant of the Jimny and now it unveiled the SUV’s Heritage Edition for Australia. The Jimny Heritage Edition is a special edition car with similar mechanics to other top-tier SUVs. This special edition car is based on the 3-door Jimny, which is a compact, lightweight off-road SUV.

The all-new Suzuki Jimny Heritage has red and orange body stripes and vibrant red mud flaps. The highlight is the pink/red ribbon and orange decals running through the rear end and profile alongside the Jimny Heritage logo. The new Jimny Heritage Edition will be available in only four colours- white, medium grey, bluish-black, and jungle green.

The interior design resembles a typical SUV in all aspects. It is equipped with all the features and specifications available in the top-tier SUV, including a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a multi-information display, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, a two-speaker sound system, autonomous emergency braking, automatic climate control, air-conditioning, and rear privacy glass.

It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a four-wheel drive system and 102 PS of maximum power. A four-speed automatic transmission is offered by Suzuki in other variants, but the Heritage stands apart as it has a five-speed manual gearbox.

The Jimny’s short wheelbase, nonexistent rear and front overhangs, and ultra-compact size make it a capable off-roader.Considering its off-road capability, it would be an excellent alternative to the Force Gurkha and Mahindra Thar.

Though the Suzuki Jimny Heritage is basic and small, it can be upgraded with various accessories and options like skid plates, premium speakers, cargo accessories, and even a 15-inch wheel kit.

But the company will only build three hundred of the ultra-limited Jimny edition, making it the rarest pint-sized off-roader. You’ll have to register on the Suzuki Australia website to buy this special edition Jimny car. The car will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so make your bookings now to grab this limited-edition car.
