Roush Jackhammer Mustang ready to compete the Dodge Hellcat
ABU DHABI: Roush Performance has just managed to overhaul the Shelby by making a Mustang that could literally rival against the Dodge Hellcat. This new Roush is the Jackhammer Mustang, which is a supercharged powerhouse producing over an insane 700 PS and a huge torque of close to 830 Nm.
The Advanced Business Strategist at Roush Performance, Jack Roush Jr., said that the company engineers American-made vehicles with insanely huge power and everything that can get their muscles bulge more. This, of course, has a huge craze among the fans of muscle cars.
The Roush Jackhammer is based on the V8 Mustang GT. However, the company transformed the muscle car by putting in some upgrades on the engine. Having said that, it is notable to know that the upgrade being spoken about is the addition of Roush supercharger, the TVS 2650. With this essential flame put in, the Mustang manages to thrust out an incredible power of 720 PS and 829 Nm torque. The transmission options are either a 10-speed automatic or a puristic 6-speed manual unit.
Apart from just the mechanics and addition of a supercharger, the Roush Jackhammer has also been given an improved cooling system, adjustable coilover, heavy-duty shafts, etc. The 20-inch Ebony Black alloy wheels are shod in ExtremeContact Sport from Continental.
Roush has given a good bit of attention to the aesthetic side too. The front and rear bumpers are more aerodynamic and the front bonnet even gets heat extractors. The rear boot spoiler is painted in gloss black. The lining along the tail lights get the “Roush” badging.
The real Mustang from Ford Middle East is available in four engine trims. The 3.7-litre V6 makes the least power (304hp/380Nm), followed by the 2.3-litre EcoBoost, which makes 324 hp power and 439 Nm torque. However, the 5.0-litre and 5.2-litre are V8-type engines that make 421 hp and 534 hp respectively. While all the trim levels are offered with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, the most powerful one gets a 6-speed manual unit only.
The Roush Jackhammer will have a limited run of 200 units only.
