Next-gen Renault Duster leaked ahead of global debut

ABU DHABI: Renault is all set to preview the next-generation Duster in Portugal on November 29, 2023. However, before the official reveal, its design was leaked via a series of patent images. The upcoming Duster will be equipped with an upgraded chassis and available in various powertrain options. In terms of dimensions, it will be bigger than its predecessor. 

The leaked patent images revealed that the design of the upcoming Renault Duster is inspired by the Bigster concept SUV. As per the spy shots, the SUV will have a flat bonnet, a slim upper grille, and a flattened bull-bar bumper with a silver skid plate and Y-shaped LED headlamps. The upcoming Renault Duster features blacked-out 'B' and 'C' pillars, enhancing its aesthetic. The rear features sharply styled V-shaped tail lights. The new Renault Duster's top-variant is expected to have ten-spoke alloy wheels.

The next-generation Renault Duster will be available in three engine options: a 120hp 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol, a 140hp 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid setup, and a 170hp flex-fuel compatible 1.3-litre turbocharged unit. The 1.3-litre turbocharged engine marks the most powerful Duster variant ever produced.

The all-new Renault Duster is currently available in three models in the UAE- SE 4X2, PE 4X2, and LE 4X2. The current model sold in UAE offers only essential features. However, the new Duster is expected to have all the modern features. Renault has not yet confirmed whether the second-generation Renault Duster will be launched in the UAE.
