ABU DHABI: Ford is all set to launch the refreshed version of the Equator SUV, marking an evolution in its global lineup. However, ahead of the official global debut, leaked images of the SUV are making rounds on the internet.

A significant update in the refreshed Equator is its powertrain, which includes a plug-in hybrid system with a 150-hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine. The electric motor adds an additional 82hp, bringing the total output to around 218hp. The battery is sourced from CATL. Additionally, there is an option for a 1.5-liter Ecoboost petrol engine that produces around 170 hp and 260 Nm of torque.
It is expected that Ford will reveal additional information regarding the refreshed Equator closer to its market launch in China.
