Maxus T60 pickup unveiled in UAE
ABU DHABI: The Maxus T60 pickup has been unveiled in the Middle East by the company’s exclusive distributors, Al Naboodah Group Enterprises. This new vehicle is the latest addition to the company’s ever-increasing LCV (light commercial vehicle) fleet.
The Chief Operating Officer at Al Naboodah Group Enterprises, Mr. Ajit Kumar, has said that the company is continuously striving to work on what the market demands. The Maxus T60 is just an example of a top-range commercial pickup vehicle. It is expected to meet the needs and expectations of the people in the region with its styling, advanced technology, and safety parameter.
The Maxus T60 started its tenure with a 5-star safety rating at the ANCAP after the long and probably rigorous testing phase in the Middle East itself. It will be available in both petrol as well as diesel engine options along with optional AWD mechanism.
Under the hood, the new Maxus would be powered by a 2.4-litre petrol engine which would be capable of making a maximum power of 136 hp along with a peak torque of 360 Nm. On the hand, the 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine would be the more powerful version among the two and would be capable of churning out a maximum power of 150 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The power would be sent down to the wheels via a 5-speed or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Features within the double-cabin of the Maxus T60 include AC vents for both front and rear occupants, music system with FM and MP3 connectivity, etc. Other electronics include parking sensors, tire-pressure monitoring system, keyless entry and rear fog lamps. It may even get lane departure warning and fatigue warning system in the future, along with an optional automatic transmission gearbox.
The company has not revealed any news on the pricing of the Maxus T60 pickup yet.
